What personal information do we collect?

When contacting us or signing up for newsletters, you may be asked to enter your name or email address or  other details to help you with your experience.  If you purchase sponsored resources, your card information passes through a third party gateway such as PayPal meaning your details

are secured and not kept on our database.   Paid items may also link to outside marketplaces.  

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you voluntarily sign up for our newsletters:

  • To send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.

Advertisements

The site may use various advertisers displayed through Google Ads.  Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website.  For more specific detail about how advertisers use your information, you can contact vendors individually for more information.

Google and Cookies

We along with third-party vendors, such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) to measure site traffic.

Opting out:

Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising initiative opt out page or permanently using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) gives parents control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, explaining what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

This site is not directed towards children under the age 13 but intended for adult parents, guardians, and teachers. This site is designed for adult educators and is not a child-guided site nor intended to be one.  We will not ask for any personal information from children using the site.   Adults may choose to submit their emails to receive the newsletter or when using the communication forms to comment or ask questions.  However, the site does not require registration or collection of personal information such as physical addresses, phone numbers, social media, photos, voice, or email addresses. 

Adult Email addresses will only be collected by voluntarily signing up for the newsletters and therefore for newsletter purposes (weekly updates of new poem) or voluntarily requesting contact with question or comment through the contact form .   Contact information sent to us  that is interpreted as spam, illegal, questionable, or offensive content will be deleted or replied with form letter.
